Chlorhexidin

Thanks to its antiseptic properties, Chlorhexidin is a largely used substance both in human and veterinary medicine. The mechanism effect consists in the disruption of pathogen cell membranes. Use in the form of shampoo combines the mechanical (rinsing) and antiseptic effects.

Aloe vera

Aloe vera has been used for thousands of years in folk medicine and its use has extended worldwide. Aloe gel supports healing and is particularly applied externally on burns, minor injuries and scratches. It forms a moistening film on the wound surface upon application, which has anti-inflammatory effect, supports the growth of fibroblasts and renewal of collagens, speeds up granulation, improves the supply of oxygen and nutrients to the tissue and quickens vascular supply restoration. Aloe vera reduces the quantity of dead tissue and stimulates cell recovery.

Aloe vera contains carbohydrates, particularly pectins, hemicellulose, glucomannans, acemannans and mannose derivatives. Amino acids, lipids, sterols, tannins, enzymes, vitamins, minerals and salicylic acids are additionally present. The healing effect is attributed to polysacharides, particularly acemannans.

Application: Moisten the fur with warm water and massage the shampoo into the fur until a rich foam forms. 

LEAVE THE SHAMPOO ON FOR 5 MINUTES!

Then carefully rinse the foam. The shampoo is non-irritating to eyes and ears, nevertheless, avoid eye and ear contact.

In the event of significant skin problems, apply ALAVIS™ Shampoo Chlorhexidin on a daily basis, or as recommended by the veterinarian. Once the condition improves, extend the intervals based on fur and skin condition. If the health state does not improve or worsens, consult your veterinarian.

• in the treatment of superficial and deep skin inflammations (yeast or bacterial origin, e.g. hot spot, skin fold inflammation)

• as maintenance care for the skin and coat after curing dermatological patients, patients with chronic skin inflammation or allergic skin disease
• to prevent the development of secondary skin infections in patients infected with ectoparasites (demodicosis, scabies, scabies, cheyletia, etc.)
• to clean physically or chemically irritated skin (e.g. around the anus during diarrhoea, inflamed skin folds, contaminated with excrements or polluted water)
• to reduce itching (pruritus) of various aetiologies
