ALAVIS™ Calming is suitable for dogs and cats who show signs of nervousness, hyperactivity or anxiety, or who react to a stressful environment.

ALAVIS™ Calming contains a unique combination of active natural ingredients which promote the balanced behaviour of dogs and cats.

ALAVIS™ Calming calms without any effect on the personality or activities of the animal.

Active ingredients contained in ALAVIS ™ Calming:

Thiamin (vitamin B 1), C3™, L-Theanin

Thiamin
Vitamin B1, which is an essential dietary component and is soluble in water. It affects the nervous system specifically and has calming and anxiety-reducing effects. Its need increases with higher stress and exertion. Because the body is unable to produce this vitamin, it must be part of the diet.

C3™
A patented mix – colostrum complex. Produced from milk proteins – casein and is known for its calming properties.

L-Theanin
An amino acid which directly affects the brain, bringing about a state of deep relaxation without drowsiness. It has calming properties and helps reduce stress and anxiety. Affects the nervous system, acting on depression and fobias. Helps relax the senses and its effects on the brain neurotransmitters dopamine and serotonin induce feelings of calm.

Levels of active ingredients in one tablet:

  • Thiamin – 67 mg
  • C3™ – 11 mg
  • L-Theanin – 10,5 mg

Additional ingredients: brewer’s yeast, rapeseed oil, chicken liver flavour, citric acid, glycerine, natural mixed tocopherols (vitamin E), propanoic acid, patented mixture: maltodextrin, sodium alginate and calcium sulphate, rosemary extract, silica, soya lecithin, vegetable oil

Dosage:

Dogs and cats up to 10 kg in weight, one soft chewable tablet per day.

During periods of increased stress, it is safe to give two or three times the stated dose.

We recommend it be given half an hour to an hour before an anticipated stressful event.

Method of use: Tablets are given daily or according to need using the recommended dosage. Tablets have a chicken liver flavour and animals enjoy it as a treat.

Period of use: Unlimited. No serious side-effects have been noted with long-term use.

We recommend:

to small cat and dog breeds who show signs of nervousness, hyperactivity or anxiety, or who react to a stressful environment, particularly:

  • during firework displays and storms
  • during changes to their environment
  • when visiting the vet
  • when moving residence or travelling
  • when larger visits or parties are held
  • for stress as a result of loneliness or boredom
